Jonathan E. Fow, M.D. completed a competitive fellowship with Wesley M. Nottage, M.D.
in Laguna Hills focusing on arthroscopic joint reconstruction and sports medicine. This
specialized training focused on state-of-the-art shoulder reconstruction and stabilization
procedures.  He helps teach these techniques to other professionals at both the local and
national meetings.  

Dr. Fow currently provides his sports medicine and surgical expertise as:
  • Medical Director—AVP Professional Beach Volleyball Tour
  • Team Physician—San Luis Obispo Blues Baseball Team
  • Team Physician—Nipomo Titans &  Morro Bay Pirates

During orthopaedic training and private practice, Dr. Fow worked with many athletes in
professional, Olympic, and collegiate sports including the Toledo Mudhens Baseball Team,
the Toledo Storm Hockey Team, University of Toledo sports teams, and FIVB International
Beach Volleyball.  Dr. Fow is especially interested in injury prevention, surgical treatment,
and rehabilitation specific to overhead athletes.  He participated in a baseball pitching
"Think Tank" at Cal Poly.

He is published in the Journal of Arthroscopy, Acta Orthopaedica, Spine, and American
Journal of Physiology.  He is currently working on research projects  focusing on rotator cuff
repair and patellofemoral joint bracing.

Dr. Fow has surgical privileges at Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center, French Hospital
Medical Center, Arroyo Grande Community Hospital, and Oak Park Surgery Center.

He is President of the Jonathan E. Fow, M.D., Inc.  Their mission is to promote orthopaedic
technology and education in the Central Coast of California.

He enjoys spending time with his wife, Leslie, and his children Isabella and Olin.
